Ancoats Alligator

This print is created in response to the wonderful Manchester Alphabet by Roger Oldham from 1906. In Oldham’s version each letter represents are area or well known association and features a verse. The Mancsy Manchester Alphabet plays with the idea of childhood illustration and features a few animals, some seen in reality or local legend refers to them in a modern context.
